The result is that moving elements on the screen—such as when you swipe or scroll—appear significantly smoother compared to panels with 60Hz or 90Hz refresh rates. Furthermore, this screen is also more responsive. However, this display does have a few minor shortcomings. Yet, if the screen brightness is set below 50% or if you have enabled ‘Dark Mode,’ the refresh rate remains locked at a constant 120Hz. Moreover, despite featuring such an impressive high-refresh-rate display, the OnePlus 8T currently allows for high-refresh-rate gaming in only two titles: PUBG and Fortnite. All other games—even those capable of supporting higher frame rates—remain capped at 60fps. Setting these points aside, this OLED display is quite excellent.
