This powerful OnePlus 10T smartphone will feature 50 MP Camera, a powerful battery, 128 GB storage
OnePlus 10 Pro Mystery: OxygenOS Comeback…Or Gone Forever?!
Hey, what’s up? This is the new OnePlus 10T, and it is the most average OnePlus phone ever made. So, while I’m not doing a full review of this phone, these are my initial thoughts. I’ve had it for about a week and a half, but for the last eight days, I’ve also been busy in the middle of Ohio, winning the ‘Club Ultimate Frisbee World Championship’ with my New York club team, ‘Pony.’ Anyway, typically for OnePlus, a ‘T’ phone means they take their newest and greatest device and tweak all its specs to make it just a little bit better—a little faster in every way—much like the ‘S’ series used to be for the iPhone.
OnePlus 10T: Cheaper Price…But These Shocking Compromises Change Everything!
But this isn’t a straightforward sequel. We got the OnePlus 10 Pro back in January; this looks quite similar to it, but when that phone launched, it was priced at $899—a price that has now dropped to $799. So, as you watch this video, definitely keep in mind that this isn’t the ’10T Pro,’ but simply the ’10T.’ And consequently, it has launched with a price tag of $649. So, on one hand, we know that, okay, the price is lower, so we should expect that some things have been cut back or that some compromises were made to hit this price point. But on the other hand, they’ve also made some compromises that genuinely left me surprised.
Give me a concluding title for this entire script that is psychologically clickbait-worthy
For instance, the OnePlus 10 Pro—which came out in January—featured a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and up to 12GB of RAM. In contrast, this 10T comes equipped with the newer Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and up to 16GB of RAM. That’s great! So, the specs have actually been upgraded—meaning there is a solid reason to buy this phone. And the physical size of both phones is also roughly the same. However, last year’s phone featured a 120Hz display that was significantly curved at the edges. In contrast, this 10T is completely flat. It also boasts a 1000Hz touch sampling rate and offers slightly higher brightness.
OnePlus 10T Display: Smart Cuts…Or a Dealbreaker You Didn’t Expect?!
Furthermore, instead of LTPO technology, it features an ‘Adaptive’ display, and its resolution is 1080p rather than 1440p. All these changes make perfect sense. After all, features like LTPO—and particularly 1440p resolution—are typically reserved exclusively for the most expensive and premium smartphones. Therefore, at this price point, getting a 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz Adaptive refresh rate is quite reasonable.
OnePlus 10T Design: Premium Look…But Why Does It Feel Like a Downgrade?!
It is good to see an under-display fingerprint reader included, along with a hole-punch cutout centered at the top of the screen; design-wise, there are no surprises here. However, the back of the 10 Pro featured a soft, satin-like black finish that I truly loved, complemented by deep satin-colored metal rails that looked absolutely stunning. The 10T, on the other hand, sports a new textured black back—dubbed ‘Moonstone Black‘—which features a pattern of tiny dashes or lines.
