I Used the Pixel 10a for a Week… Here’s the Truth No One Wants to Admit!
Well, my friends, I’ve been using the Pixel 10a for about a full week now, and I do have some thoughts to share with you guys. But before we get into the experience, I do want to be clear about one particular thing. This is going to be a complete standalone review of this device. We’ve already discussed a thousand times over how similar this device is to the Pixel 9a. And if you want to hear that same story again, just go watch my hands-on because we already gave those talking points. And trust me, we know that they’re similar.
No Flashy Changes… Yet This Pixel 10a Design Might Be Its Biggest Strength!
Instead, I felt it would have just been a way more productive review to see how the Pixel 10a stands out on its own in 2026. And without wasting any more time, let’s take a quick look. Starting with the design, I do have to say it was great last year, and I still feel the same way in 2026. We have these matte rails and a matte back finish that still feels great. Having a phone with this full matte texture on it never gets old and always feels good to hold in the hand no matter what. The lack of a camera bar is also a choice that is incredibly underrated.

No Camera Bump?! Pixel 10a Brings Back a Design You Forgot You Loved!
No, you shouldn’t specifically buy a Pixel 10a just for that alone, but finally having no camera bump after what, 15 years with the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 4, it is a surely surreal feeling. Somehow the phone feels slimmer and more ergonomic when not inside of a case. And when sitting on a desk, it just feels like an ultra clean, ultra minimal table ornament, if that makes any sense. I’m just so conditioned to camera islands and visors and camera modules for so long, I forgot what it felt like to use a smartphone that doesn’t have one at all. Anyways, moving on. The new berry colourway is a total standout. Although, I did get the lavender one this year, which is gorgeous in its own right.

Bold Colors, Classic Features… But These Pixel 10a Details Might Surprise You!
I love that Google is continuing with these bold, vibrant colours, and I hope they continue to do so. And of course, for the last few design pieces, much like the Pixel 10, we do now have two speaker grills on the bottom of the Pixel 10. Although the left hand side is still a microphone. So unfortunately it is not dual firing. And the SIM card slot has been moved to the top lefhand corner of the device. So thankfully this device is not eim only. You can put your SIM card in it business as usual which I totally love to see. Finally for the front of the phone we did get a closer look at those notorious A series bezels.
