OnePlus Note 5: Premium Glass Look…But a Hidden Downgrade?!
Hello friends! How is everyone doing? We have just received this new phone from OnePlus—the OnePlus Note 5. While the Note 4 featured a metal back—boasting an entirely metal design—this new model now comes with a glass back. The glass looks great—it certainly feels premium—but the frame has now shifted to plastic. So, you could say there has been a slight downgrade in build quality.
OnePlus Note 5: 144Hz Display & 40+ Features—Is This the Ultimate Flagship?
That said, the phone still retains a premium feel. Today, I’m going to share all the details about it. I’ll also be explaining over 40 of its features. So, if you’re interested in this phone, make sure to watch the entire video, and let me know in the comments which feature you like the most! Let’s start with the display. It features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. If you look at the bezels, you’ll notice they are incredibly thin, and the overall display quality feels excellent. The colours, sharpness, and clarity are all top-notch. It even boasts a 144Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus Note 5 Display: 1800 Nits Brightness & Smart Features—Too Good to Ignore?!
I tested the brightness both indoors and outdoors, and it performs admirably; the peak brightness reaches up to 1800 nits. It also features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, which you’ll find positioned slightly lower down on the screen. There are a few key display settings worth noting. By default, the resolution is set to Full HD. However, within the “Display & Brightness” settings—specifically under “Screen Resolution”—you can switch it to “High” to unlock that crisper, full 1.5K viewing experience. There is also a “Screen Attention” option available here; this feature ensures that as long as you are looking at the phone The screen simply doesn’t turn off; the phone doesn’t lock—even if you are merely looking at the device without touching it.

OnePlus Note 5: Smart Eye Care & Crazy Customization—You Won’t Believe This!
Another excellent feature I discovered was the “Eye Comfort” option. It includes a “Smart” mode; if you are using the phone for an extended period, the device automatically detects signs of eye fatigue and gradually adjusts the screen’s colour temperature to a warmer tone, thereby minimizing strain on your eyes over the long run. This phone offers a wide array of excellent customization options within the “Wallpapers & Style” section. The feature I found most impressive was the “Flux Themes.” If you navigate to “More Themes,” you will find a vast selection of distinct options available.
