This powerful OnePlus 7T Pro smartphone will feature 4085 mAh, a powerful battery, 12 GB RAM
OnePlus 7T Pro: The Most Pointless Upgrade Ever…Or Still Worth It?!
What’s up, guys? I’m Anurag. We’re fast approaching the end of the year, but “Tech-tober” is still in full swing. And one of my favorite phones of 2019 has been the OnePlus 7 Pro. So, I guess OnePlus felt the need to update their lineup for the holiday season—and that is exactly what they did. And our newest device is this one—the OnePlus 7T Pro. Now, many of you have been asking me what I think of this phone. This is, perhaps, the most minor update from one phone generation to the next that I have ever seen. In fact, if I were to place these two phones right next to each other, you probably wouldn’t even be able to tell which one is which.
OnePlus 7T Pro vs 7 Pro: Spot the Difference…Or Is There One?!
On the left is the OnePlus 7 Pro, and on the right is the OnePlus 7T Pro. But if you couldn’t spot the difference at a glance, let me walk you through all the changes. Starting with the back, we get a slightly new color. It’s still blue, but instead of “Nebula Blue,” they’re calling this one “Haze Blue.” You know, it’s a bit lighter. To be honest, I actually like this version a little less; it attracts fingerprints more easily and features a less matte finish.
OnePlus 7T Pro: New Camera Trick…Or Just Smart Marketing?
But hey—at least now you’ll actually be able to tell the two phones apart! This is the Haze Blue variant. You’ll also notice a laser autofocus cutout situated right next to the camera module on the OnePlus 7T Pro. It looks as though something entirely new has been added, but that’s likely just a psychological trick. After all, the 7 Pro already had a laser autofocus module built right into its camera housing—positioned between the lenses.
OnePlus 7T Pro Specs: Slightly Better…But Worth the Hype?!
So, this isn’t a new sensor or anything of the sort; they simply moved it to the exterior of the module, making it *look* like a brand-new sensor. Anyway, moving on to the internals, you get a Snapdragon 855+, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage—and that is the *only* configuration available. So, the standard OnePlus 7T Pro will no longer offer the 12 GB RAM option. However, the new processor is slightly better. There has also been a minor technical upgrade in terms of the battery; you now get a slightly larger 4085 mAh battery—whereas the OnePlus 7 Pro already featured a 4000 mAh battery.
OnePlus 7T Pro: Faster Charging Upgrade…But Is That Enough?!
Can we truly consider this an upgrade? Technically, yes; I mean, it certainly hasn’t gotten any smaller, so… I suppose we should be happy about that—though, admittedly, it is only slightly—just very slightly—larger. The real upgrade here is the slightly faster Warp Charge 30T; the packaging remains the same size—meaning the charger is included right in the box—and it supports 23% faster charging speeds.
